East Lake Before and During the The Great Eclipse of 2017

Monday 21, 2017  ---  Solar Eclipse Day

I think it only appropriate today to look at East Lake early this morning , before the eclipse and then again during the eclipse . I leave it to you to be the judge of how it went.

We were to have about 80 percent of totality in this area of Alberta, Calgary and Airdrie . I didn't notice any darkness coming on, the birds didn't go away, the sun didn't get blocked out. If one didn't know an eclipse was pending, it would have been a normal day, in my opinion at least.

The first couples of picture were taken at 0705 AM , well before the great event.
Temperature was just 4 C , winds were at 5 km/h and the sky had a few slight clouds.

Now , here's a couple taken during the eclipse . The optimum time for the eclipse was to be 1133 AM. These pictures were taken at 1135 AM.
